Three Things to Know About the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE
April 28 2023, MB Rive-Sud
The all-new 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE is the second fully electric Mercedes-Benz sedan to hit the market, following the flagship EQS last year. The EQE is positioned below the EQS, similar to how the E-Class sits below the S-Class in the gas-powered luxury sedan lineup. Although smaller than the EQS, the EQE boasts many of the same technological features, impressive range, and standout performance, making it an attractive choice for buyers seeking a luxurious electric vehicle that combines premium Mercedes-Benz refinement with an advanced electric architecture. Here are three things to know about the impressive 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE.
Three Versions with Ample Performance
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE is available in three versions, starting with the EQE 350 4MATIC sedan, which delivers 288 hp and 564 lb-ft of torque. With a starting price of $85,600, the base model can reach 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Next in the lineup is the EQE 500 4MATIC, featuring two electric motors with one powering each axle like the EQE 350 4MATIC. Power is significantly upgraded, however, with 402 hp and 633 lb-ft of torque, propelling the EV to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. The flagship model, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQE 4MATIC+, is priced at just over $121,000 and showcases the full potential of electrification. With a maximum output of 677 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque, the AMG EQE can reach 100 km/h in a mere 3.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest electric vehicles in its price range.
Luxurious and Refined Interior
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz EQE shares many similarities with the flagship EQS, namely elegance and unmatched craftsmanship. The MBUX system, housed within the central square touch display, serves as the heart and soul of the EQE's interior. Utilizing artificial intelligence, MBUX adapts to the user, enabling adjustments using natural language and recognizing fingerprints, evolving to better suit the owner's needs over time. The EQE also features a customizable digital instrument cluster and multiple trim options, ranging from 3D and translucent plates to open-pore wood and a standard backlit laser-cut star pattern. Dozens of trim and color options are available for the seats, along with a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and climate-controlled seats with ventilation and massaging features. LED strips that display 64 different colors enhance the interior ambiance and change based on how the EQE is being driven.
418 km of Range
Every 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan comes equipped with a 90.6-kWh battery, providing 418 km of range. The more powerful AMG version delivers 362 km of range. In both cases, you get ample all-electric freedom to reach your destination, no matter where your journey takes you. The EQE features an 11 kW onboard charger, allowing for a full charge at home in nine hours and 45 minutes. With a maximum output of 170 kW on a fast charger, the EQE can reach 80% charge in about 30 minutes. Combining range, advanced charging capabilities, a spectacular interior, and remarkable performance, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE delivers traditional Mercedes-Benz luxury and refinement with all the advantages of electrification.
